Accurate assessment if DeSantis goes back on his word (on not running if Donnie does) like a bitch and decides to run against Dump.
 
DeSantis would need to clear the field so that he gains support of the Never Trumpers. He would have the establishment and business community behind him. However, Trump will hit below the belt and I think he would cower. While DeSantis is popular, Trump is still more popular outside of FL, and much of the base feels he needs to be loyal/wait his turn.
