Hi Jerry. What can I do about this. I am now getting an alert from QT that says, " your internet explorer is set off line. please reset it. otherwise QT cannot operate.

I am not using internet explorer. I use firefox with an embarq dsl connection and both are always working at the time.

Even if I shut QT down and start over, I still get the same message. Thanks for the reply.
 
What you use for general browsing is irrelevant. QT uses IE internally and your IE is set to work offline. Start IE, select FILE menu and click on the Work offline option to toggle it. Then close IE and restart QT
