Not because I was unhappy with CT, but because IB offers their "Margin IRA account" which skips the T+3 wait time...
Let's assume the spread on a stock is $0.10
At CT, when you placed a buy order @ $.01 above the inside Bid price, your limit order showed up as the new inside Bid price. On the flip side if you placed a sell order for $0.01 below the inside ask, your order showed up as the new inside ask price.
However, at IB when I place an order to buy below the ask, it does NOT show up as the new inside bid price (in the Level II window)...does anyone know why?
