Disagreement should NOT be a reason for being banned from a thread rather the APPROACH should be taken into consideration. Stating WHY one disagrees with some actual evidence or analysis should be fine but not "you just don't get it" or "1000's of quants would disagree" blah blah blah should not suffice. Those are just argumentative.

Huge tell here. Love the cheerleaders comment....coming from a guy who cheerleads every time he is up a tick on a position.

You are obviously scared beyond belief because most people on here can read right through you. You are a guy who likes to toot his own horn and claim to have huge connections(loved the one where after one successful paper trade some huge fund was going to buy your PD system.....LOL....that's hall of fame stuff!). Claim to have great strategies. Blah blah blah. If most people had the choice on whether or not they wanted your participation you would have little to no threads to post on. This scares the hell out of you. Ergo the rabid response to me. Again...HUGE TELL.


Anyways....hopefully Baron will entertain the idea. again...it would bring solid content back here. It could be done very easily. Make it take the names on each person's ignore list and prevent them from posting on a thread they started. That or give the OP the option of banning the troublemaker from each thread. Maybe give that polluter a second chance at times.

Everyone is bored of being called a multi alias troll if they disagree with you or happen to trade forex or something, if you have evidence or observations with some substance then bring them forth, if a ta method is described and you can see the specific fault engage in discussion.

It will do no harm to this site to trial the feature for 6 months and then take a look at the difference it has made in a review, this is not high school, popularity means nothing here. The removed from thread count will be extremely low and only for those who are purposely destructive, if they adjust their attitude and engage there is no cause for removal.

I trust moderators around here to make fair decisions when reviewing the thread creators reason for removal against the content they object to. Again this has nothing to do with counter opinion this is in no way to promote group think it all comes down to the substance presented.

No, but it WAS Baron who started this thread so clearly new ideas are wanted. And it seems most people like the idea put forth by EPrado. Perhaps some modifications could be made but the overall idea has merit.

That isn't giving anyone full moderation rights over their own thread.

All it does is prevent another poster who the thread starter already has set on ignore from participating in a given thread. That's all.

Think about that, the thread starter already ignores the person, so they aren't interested in conversing with them anyway, and it's the thread starter's thread after all. It is a very soft (we aren't talking about moderation level deleting) and fair way to cut down on a lot of the ego pissing matches that contribute nothing.

I repeat from my earlier post (since you chose to continue trying to turn this into something else.):
