Moving Forward: Your Opinion of ET

Important issues are covered on this site, the transaction tax for instance and it is in every traders benefit to know about it. The content is currently scattered within a very large thread.
Its a slow moving beast so routine summary updates are not required however if we can get the content together as key changes in the situation take place and more importantly link them to a campaign of sorts, advising users to mail their local representative about the issue and giving them the frame work to do it and have this content private messaged to every user of this website.
Not to fear monger but if that ever comes into legislation with any substance this site is over.

All things considered I'm sure it's a difficult job to manage this site and try to maintain some sense of order. I don't envy anyone doing that job.
Originally I joined this site hoping to learn more about trading. That endeavor has been a mixed bag, probably more my fault than anything else. There are some very informative threads here, but they're a bitch to go through page after page. I don't know how one could make that easier to find and navigate.
I know one thing. I'd pay a pretty good buck to be able to see and hear real traders, trade in real time, be able to pick their brain in some type of format, and have a intelligent conversation about trading with people who actually do it both in a professional setting, and those that do it from home.
Until then I'll continue to spend 95% of my time here hanging out in the P&R forum telling radical leftists to go fuck themselves. In all honesty, much as I hate to say it, you should dump that forum. It has done nothing to help my trading, and in fact has probably hurt it. I don't think it adds anything to an otherwise worthy endeavor you're trying to accomplish with this site.

It's not about me. I just used that as an example. Controversy is what makes forums work. Otherwise it's a cult of true believers and becomes very boring.

I don't believe I ever said basement trolls. I am always respectful to the person. Unless, they deserve otherwise I have fights with ideas not people. Sure Doji and company are nice folks BUT that doesn't mean I have to believe anything they say. In fact I think it's 55% BS and the rest delusion caused by a winning streak or two. I'm sorry that you feel it's wrong not to believe everything. I have been nothing but nice to these folks despite my disbelief.

The home page is all that needs a minor face lift. Accessibility. Wasting some precious page real estate now.
The click count for the reviews or anything other than forum threads on the home page must be horrifically low??
Dump anything on the home page if it does not directly involve a forum thread.
Give us more threads on the home page, show all the forums but with the top 20 latest threads overall.
Leads to more conversations and less 'lost' threads.
