What is the most watched index S&P or Dow ?

While that is true, that does not mean the S&P is the most 'watched'.

Since the average joe recognizes the Dow and literature is built around the Dow at brokerages, I would say the Dow is most 'watched' by the overall population.

Now, same question among traders and money managers could yield a different response.
