Most successful profitable day trader?

Cohen made most of his money holding positions but yea, he has a big team of traders that trades both intra-day & longer time frames which is typical for many pros in this era.

Al Brooks is on record saying he was never profitable in the 10 years he day traded.

Not aware of any traders that got wildly rich from only intra-day trading since the days of the floor traders.

Not biased - I am primarily a swing trader that trades intra-session about 7-12 times per month when the right setups are there,

CIS - his big $34M trade was a swing trade built into over a 2 week period. On the last day he added in 41% of his position - the capitulation phase. .

CIS got lucky on that trade
 
Well he was a pro trader making a very good living at it for over a decade before he put this trade on. There is always a level of luck involved with the big winners. Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

CIS had been watching the bid-ask action on the most active Nikkei stocks & saw deterioration with demand before placing his first short position.

He said he diverted his attention away from the open P/L by playing a computer game.

CIS was a Japanese millionaire trader living in Japan when he put on the big Nikkei short. Day traders could learn something from this.
