... Anyone making the minimum wage with a family to support is going to qualify for all sorts of government programs as well, from food stamps to the earned income credit, so the entire premise is misleading.

And here's another thing. If people weren't stuck in these jobs, they wouldn't care about a min wage...most would take it for what it is...temporary. They would know that they could move up. But now we have an administration that turned these temp and part time jobs into the new career path for thousands graduating from college and in debt.
Hell, no wonder they want a raise...there is no where else to go, thanks to Obama.![]()
Cutting benefits will fix that. Thousands more of the newly "eager" will go to school so they can move up and won't have to earn minimum wage!
All that survey shows is that there are more Democrats earning a minimum wage than Republicans. Not surprising and somewhat telling.
