Most basic #1 newbie picture question

How do I create a picture of a chart? I am using Tradestation.

I did a lot of searching to avoid asking this stupid question - I figured out how to attach a pic, I always knew how to imbed a pic into a thread, but I just don't know how to create a pic of one chart from my screen! Sorry for the question, and thanks for the answer! I'm sure the answer is around here somewhere, but I can't find it.

1. Ctrl + Print Screen
2. open mspaint
3. ctrl +v
4. select the area of interest.
5. ctrl + c
6. set image attributes 1 pixel width, 1 pixel height.
7. ctrl +v

There are also other ways like using "snagit".

Left click file, left click "save as picture", save as, name it, and you have a saved screen shot in "my pictures", or where ever you saved it!

Thanks for the replies! Cutting and pasting with ms paint will work for now until I try something a little fancier like snagit... oops, looks like I have to save file as a jpeg as a bmp file won't work. . :)

seems like there is too much empty space around the chart.

I learned how to do this from another thread:

I wish I could post charts. It is very difficult for me to do anything technical.

What do you not know how to do? This forum has a very nice feature that lets you attach files from your own computer. At the bottom of the reply box you see:

Attach file:
Maximum size: 1048576 bytes

and there is a box with a browse button that lets you look for files on your computer. If you have a picture of a chart you can attach it in that way to your post on ET.
