I'd be tempted to agree with you but I think his narcissistic personality will cost him the election. The democrats can play a 24/7 ad reel of tweets, insults, videos of him saying really stupid things, foreign policy flubs, and more. Consider how the public treats someone who is on trial for a serious crime. Now think about how the public will look at a man who was on trial for impeachment (a very, very serious crime). Look at how the public treated Bill Clinton! They could dig back to his past (he was always in front of a camera) and find video of him making even more mistakes. Making him look like an incompetent child was already done for them. They just have collate and covert to a nice ad format - perhaps with some sad piano chords in the background. He's given the DNC ad team so much to work with I'd be surprised if a single American in any state that actually matters wanted him back. You can trace the exact moment the "silent majority" switched to Trump (it happens to do with deplorables). You can be sure it won't happen again.

I'm no advertising expert, but if he kept his mouth shut, listened to his very talented PR people and advisors, and did what he needed to do as president he would certainly be looked upon more favorably. He is his own undoing - just like every other narcissist ever conceived.

The UK had extreme leftist leadership of one party coupled with a betrayal in Brexit.

The US has extreme leftist leadership of one party coupled with a betrayal in Impeachment.

The similarity is remarkable. Hopefully the outcome will be similar.

His support before the last election was lower than that and he still managed to win. He won with 46% of the popular vote when it came to actual election day.

Even the Democratic politicians know he his likely to win that is why they are trying to impeach him. A high risk strategy because they are desperate, but it looks like it is backfiring:
