I do not know what was South Carolina poll like going into the 2024 SC primaries in comparison to the vote result yesterday.
I do know half the people who voted for Biden in the 2020 SC primaries did not vote for him in the 2024 SC primaries, 135,000 votes.
Biden won The EC by 43,000 votes in 2020.Losing 135,000 votes in a single small state is not a good sign for him.
Many states, South Carolina is one of them, had a large shift in their population...people leaving the state and new residents of the state.
In addition, the Pandemic has a huge statistical impact on the deaths (people who can no longer vote) when looking at the party lines. Simply, more dead Republicans than Democrats in the Pandemic.
Thus, 135k isn't a big number considering what happened in the Pandemic and the relocation of residents. More importantly, there was a bigger shift in other red states but that's another discussion when/if Trump is selected as the nominee for the Republicans and when/if Biden is selected as the nominee for the Democrats.
A lot of red states lost many voting Republicans to COVID-19...they're dead...its a shocking number difference that very few talk about. In contrast, covidiots still think these voters are still alive because there was "no covid or no pandemic".
Since you are so happy about Biden's results last night we can both hope election night has the same results.Biden gets a higher percentage of minority votes but half of the people who voted for him in 2020 don't vote for him in 2024 .Glad we can finally agree on something...
Please do not express your political illusions on me. Simply, I never stated I "was happy" nor implied I "was happy". Doing such implies you think people must share the same political beliefs as you do although you're aware that I live in two progressive countries that are more progressive than the United States while being an American expat.
Instead, I'm pointing out the facts that many seem to ignore, South Carolina was a pivotal state for Biden in the past. If I'm not mistaken, he was counted out because of poor performances in prior primaries but it was South Carolina that turned things around.
In addition, do not forget that I'm a Republican who deeply hates Trump and views him as a trojan horse virus that entered the GOP through a hidden door along with having an understanding that Trump is dangerous to minorities (all minorities) except for those are rich, celebrity, MAGA supporters or wants money like he has even if its blood money.
Therefore, I will vote for whomever has the best chance to beat Trump and I'm still a believer that Haley can turn things around and defeat Trump for the RNC nomination considering there are still a ton of ballots (primaries) to go through in the next few months.
Yet, the only way Haley can defeat Trump...will be a felony conviction, a racial attack on an ethnic group that Trump comes across as supporting the group of the attack, or the group publicly states they support Trump while Trump refuses to denounce the hate group.
Heck, he could just play dumb again like he did in his last two years and publicly say he never heard of these hate groups.
Anyways, Biden and Trump are both in trouble but for different reasons. The problem with America...they strongly believe their politics should control their life. It's the reason why I told you in a recent message post while traveling through several states in the U.S...
I saw more people wearing shirts..."South Will Rise Again".
A Trump presidency will be pure chaos beyond America...chaos for the global well-being and only Biden can stop such from happening...only Biden right now today has the best chance. Yet, if someone else can defeat Trump or has a better chance than Biden...I will vote for that person too.
Last of all, if I disliked Biden so much as you do, I would spend my time promoting another Democrat to defeat Biden in the primaries because the odds are high that Trump will be convicted and become a felon and that other Democrat/Independent can become President instead of Biden.
Regardless, there's a very good chance with our judicial system/Supreme Court, I would not be shocked to see the SC weigh in and say a felon can continue serving as president of the United States of America should Trump be convicted before November 2024.
Living abroad with the other 8 million expats who will be voting in the 2024 U.S. elections...its something Trump made the mistake of ignoring in 2020.
