Possible buts its possible I could be awake and posting on ET and hear them.
Generally criminals dont commit crimes against people that are armed so chances are they wont come back and knowing there is a high risk of getting shot

FYI-it's a Walther PPK aka the James Bond gun and was probably the gun Hitler used to kill himself.
I just like the feel but you got to be real careful with it as if you don't have your hand in the right place it's a trip to the Eroom for stitches.
Note the beaver tail that keeps you out of trouble.

While I like the feel of the Walther PPK/S I've never been fond of .380 for self-defense as it's the poor-mans cousin to the 38 special which was never a particularly strong round. But, as always, the first rule of a gunfight is to make sure you bring a gun, and if the .380 is the one you actually have with you and not sitting in your dresser at home then it's the BEST caliber in the world. For home defense it's easy to have heavy "artillery", but for pocket-carry I prefer the 9mm as it has considerably more punch than the .380 and the guns are often not any bigger. In fact these days most of the manufacturers are focusing on small, single-stack magazine 9mm just for that purpose and there are many excellent choices on the market -- Kimber Solo, Ruger LC9, Kel-Tec PF9, Kahr PM9 and CM9, Sig P290, etc.Quote from seneca_roman:
