More Obamacare layoffs

Quote from AK Forty Seven:

Oh brother. You support Shattner while he is worth 600 million and forces YOU/the tax payer to pay for his employees health care.
That was obama's idea.

Shattner just said "okay"

Quote from maxpi:

The Left is fascistic. They have crafted a nice cooperation between government and much of industry and together they rule.
Just the opposite, the right is those things.

Quote from AK Forty Seven:

Obama only represents the people who elected him,
Really so I'm federal tax free and have diplomatic immunity to all fed regs/laws fines for the next 4 years?

Quote from AK Forty Seven:

If caring about these people make me a bleeding heart so be it.

You care about "these people" using someone elses money.

How about this, become a Dr and treat people for free.

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

I haven't plowed thorugh all this thread, but some are making the point that Obama didn't appreciate the burden of Obamacare on business. Others have pointed out that he didn't appreciate how it would cause private inurance rates to go up.

Both observations miss the point. Obama and the democrats look at obamacare as a way station, not the ultimate goal. They want a fully socialized, single payer system. One way to get that is to impose a system that is so horrendous that people clamor for something "better." Like all failed liberal programs, they will never admit it was a mistake. they will just argue it proves why we need a fully socialized system.

And they will prevail with that argument. If there were enough morons, racists and parasites to reelect him, there will certainly be majorities to vote for "free" health care.
Of course just as IQ 47 has proposed , the failure of the freemarket to provide free healthcare is the reason we needed obamacare.

As P. J. O'Rourke has said : If you think healthcare is expensive now, just wait til it's FREE!

And the rest of us can boycott the top corporate donors to Obama. I see a couple companies that will lose a chunk of dough from me each year.

It's interesting that government workers seem to be big donators to Obama, too. Maybe we should press our Congressmen for a 20% decrease in pay and benefits to government employees.

With tuition's already so high, how does a university justify a political contribution?
