Both of the above apply to me. Wife and I already talked about getting a legal divorce so we don't see annual premiums go from $4300 to $12,000 with an even HIGHER deductible than we now pay.

Second link addresses who/why healthy people want to go with catastrophic policies and not be FORCED to buy crap they don't want or need.

Then we have no one even willing to tell the public how many have signed up after 2 weeks. Continued exchange issues .. poor system architecture, elementary school level code .. basically a system that does not work. Why Mr. Dictator is unwilling to agree to a delay of a year or scrapping it and coming up with some thing truly affordable and meaningful boggles the mind.

Surely you jest.

Obamacare was said to SAVE you about $2,500/yr in premiums.

Perhaps you should recheck your math?

I'd recheck my math but I have 3 degrees in math oriented areas and I volunteer and work with kids in math.

And my wife and I will get no handouts (subsidies). Marriage penalty here too ... an individual can make up to $46K before they lose the subsidy. But for a couple it's just $62K and not 2 x $46K (or $92K).

Perhaps you could volunteer some math tutoring to the Odumbo Admn... they, Pelosi and Reid appear could use it.

Told my wife from the start that this will never come close to being adequately funded. These subsidies are basically just another form of partial Medicaid ... taxpayers pay for premiums of those who were uninsured. But that doesn't eliminate the problems of (1) young people going uninsured and paying $95 (but it will cost more than $95 for the government to track them down and get the $95) (2) uninsured people who continue to use the ER will have their costs passed on to those who are insured driving premiums even higher (3) illegals who cannot legally buy health insurance will use ER as well driving premiums even higher. Seems we're on an exponential or parabolic increase in costs with Odumbocare.

Want to know how it all washes? See "Soviet Union before its collapse"... which is OK with the politico elites. After all, they are really only concerned with POWER AND CONTROL! And the majority of Americans are too STUPID AND GREEDY to do anything about it.

Off to do math with grades 4-6 who probably are brighter than Odumbo, Reid, Pelosi and Sebellius

And yes, most Americans are too stupid and want anything that's free ... never mind in the long run it's not in their best interests.
