More Chaos for Obamney Care. Why is the Obvious not Obvious?

Suppose the U.S. was engaged in a major war where the field commanders were given veto power over Headquarters. And further suppose the war was not in the best interests of the field commanders. How effectively could that war be fought? Yet that is precisely the situation that pertains to the roll out of Obamney care. Why, in all of the ensuing chaos, does it appear that no one near the top of the command structure recognizes that without repealing the McCarran Ferguson Act the stated goals behind the ACA have practically no chance of being met? It is now more clear than ever that the first step toward a national Health care policy fitting the needs of nearly everyone was repeal of McCarran Ferguson. If you can't pull that off, than it is pointless to go to the next step!!!

The "stated goals" behind Obamacare have nothing to do with the actual goals. The real goal is a complete government takeover of the U.S. Healthcare system.

It was a power grab from the start. Nothing more.
 
Piezoe's analogy is spot on. Obama is being friustratd in his war on the country by republican governors. If Obama could seize more power, he would be able to destroy the country more efficiently and with less bother.

ps. Many, eg Ann Coulter, have argued that a useful reform of health insurance would have been to allow nation-wide purchasing groups. Now individuals are limited to state by state offerings, which can limit options and result in higher premiums if you live in a small or unhealthy state. Of course, this, and other reforms, could have been accomplished one by one, and we would have avoided the disaster of Obamacare.

No, that's not it. If they wanted to do a power grab, they would've banned all private health insurance, and formed a self-funding insurance which everybody was automatically a member.

Then they could dictate pricing and terms on the doctors, clinics, hospitals, etc. No participation, no business.

Since they didn't, it's obvious Obama gave the golden goose to the insurance companies, since now they can require much higher deductibles and charge much higher premiums, most of which is paid by the Gov't.

Win for the health insurance industry. Loss for the rest of us.

Obama sold out the American people for the benefit of the insurance companies.
 
The insurance companies and the Dems had a plan. I see it as hybrid. Crony / govt seizure of liberty and income.

The insurance companies would extract more profits and the dems could use the insurance exchanges to extract all the remaining money from the tax paying class through manipulation of the pricing of the insurance.

It is the same idea with college tuition. Jack it up way past the price you would typically charge and then charge less for people who can pay less.

Its a way to extract maximum revenue. It only works well when govt money or govt back loans are involved.

its sort of the same way with housing. The price of the assets rise to extract the maximum possible and it works when the lenders are not concerned about being paid back.

This is what happens when govt and cronies get together.
The sick thing is that we have no opposition from the press or establishment republicans.

When you combine this with systematic devaluation of the dollar progressive taxes which can take 60 percent or more of larger incomes ... plus a death tax...

You know why the income disparity exists. The cronies are locking in their advantage and turning everyone not in the top .05% to debt/insurance slaves.

This shows you why it was so sick the Roberts allowed the mandate to be renamed a tax. It sacrificed tax payers on the alter of cronies... it was highly liberty destroying.

I'm an insurance slave so to speak, insurance is a huge part of my expense, it's ridiculous. If someone is paying 60%+ in federal tax they really need to change accountants. The estate tax is the fairest tax of all, it doesn't hurt the payer in anyway, he's dead. If there could be just one tax that should be the one. You get to keep and enjoy all your earnings all your life and don't pay any taxes until after your gone, 100% painless.
 
Obamacare was carefully designed to fail into single-payer nationalized healthcare. It wasn't intended to work.

When you realize that they are seriously trying to make 20-something males carry maternity insurance, well... that pretty much says it all.
 
your point is understood and makes sense. For me I do not think there should be an income tax or an estate tax.

We simply need to stop waste and take a new look at what our goals are.

The reality is a guy like Ron Paul was right... its time to save money and bring the troops home. The world wide project of might comes at a massive cost and it has been set up to open and keep open markets or resources for our bankers and our large international companies.

It was an interesting proposition for tax payers when our workers had all the jobs and the profits were brought back home for shareholders.

Now it seems the military cost is just and huge extraction from the tax payers. Its why the sequester was not really hurting anyone.

Cut the military... cut the borrowing cut income taxes.

We need to go back to pay as you go.
If we can afford national health care on a pay as you go basis without and income tax... great.

I think you are misreading McCarran Ferguson.

and its Obamacare... not Obomney care.
Obama and Pelosi Reid and the democrats sold us out. Not Romney not a single republican. You guys could not even get McCain.

So while it seems to me McCarren should be repealed because I see no reason why insurance companies should be exempt from anti trust laws... I do not see how this is not sebilus, obama pelosi and reids fault. They agreed to work with the insurance companies to try and screw tax payers. I do not think in the absence of McCarren we could have stopped Obama Pelosi and Reid from screwing us. That is what leftists do.
