Suppose the U.S. was engaged in a major war where the field commanders were given veto power over Headquarters. And further suppose the war was not in the best interests of the field commanders. How effectively could that war be fought? Yet that is precisely the situation that pertains to the roll out of Obamney care. Why, in all of the ensuing chaos, does it appear that no one near the top of the command structure recognizes that without repealing the McCarran Ferguson Act the stated goals behind the ACA have practically no chance of being met? It is now more clear than ever that the first step toward a national Health care policy fitting the needs of nearly everyone was repeal of McCarran Ferguson. If you can't pull that off, than it is pointless to go to the next step!!!
