More Ann Coulter

So it is an all or nothing deal, is that it?

We all have to believe the same thing?

Everyone must hold to the Christian belief systems, and accordingly are made to suffer because they don't share those belief systems?

Sure doesn't sound like the America I grew up with....

Why the fuck don't the evangelical Christians mind their own fucking business, get their own fucking log out of their own fucking eyes, and let others live the life and lifestyle of their choosing.

No one is saying that all people should marry members of the same sex, but that those who do want to marry a member of the same sex should be allowed to do so, and not have some Christian telling them that that is not right for them to do so.

Quote from pattersb:

You do understand that your statement could be turned 180 degrees.

Liberals are "enforcing the beliefs" that the government should recognize same-sex marriage.

It's funny, after, I don't know five thousand years of Man-Woman marriage through-out civilization, it is all-of-a-sudden christian conservative who are trying to "enforce the beliefs" about marriage being strictly between a man and a woman.

And the liberals, are not trying to "enforce their beliefs" at all, but ... I don't what they hell do you call it then?

I'd laugh, if it weren't for the knot in my stomach ..

Yeah, man, the gays wish w/all their hearts to stop you from having a legal marriage to the woman you love.

What fake arguments, what hypocrisy you people spout...

The notion that "same-sex" marriage violates ONLY the christian belief system is preposterous. And for you to purport this myth, is simply a bastardization of the debate.

I'd imagine many, muslim, hindu, buddists, ATHEISTS, etc ... are against the vile notion of same-sex marriage.

You and mahram are 1 and 2 in the annoying little prick catagory. Chowder-brains spewing nonesencial-nonsense.

I didn't even shout an argument, I simply debunked yours!

Now that IS a fake argument on YOUR part.

Why is it that liberals seem to think the way to win others over to their ideas is to attack them in the most vicious, personal terms? I would think the essence of the love and tolerance they are always spouting off about would be to show some love and tolerance for those who sincerely disagree with them. Instead they act like they would like to throw them into the maximum security prisons they wish to let all the criminals out of.

Ironically, liberals' pavlovian reaction to Ann Coulter exactly duplicates their reaction to anything Bush, namely snarling, self righteous name-calling and personal attacks. I guess expecting these self-styled intellectuals to actually make rational arguments is asking too much of them. I could understand it if they had been educated in government schools, but all the liberals I know went to exclusive prvate schools so they wouldn't ave to come into actual contact with the minorities they so champion.

Win the Evangelical Christians over by pretending to be early Christians who are being devoured by lions?

Now that is a laugh.

I take responsibility for setting this off. I honestly dislike this guy. He is SO fricking self-rigtheous, and his arguments are so riddled with holes and double-talk ....

He rails against, "bigotry, hate-speech, etc ...", yet regurally attacks groups of people based on his bias and prejudice.

This guy simply sets me off, ... I can't stand these types ...

It is difficult to comprehend this kind of post.

Liberals are not enforcing their beliefs - they are asking that everyone be allowed to choose what best suits them, according to their own belief systems

If you call that a 'belief' that liberals are imposing, then yes. The belief that no one should impose their beliefs on anyone else. Yes.

As always, I don't believe that conservatives don't understand this. They just know there's no way to reconcile the American value of freedom of expression with the Christian right agenda. Hence we have this kind of sophistry, where radical Christians claim that by saying that everyone should have a right to act according to his or her own beliefs, non Christians are 'enforcing their beliefs'. What a pathetic bit of double talk.
