Moore

and most of the recent information shows that black voters will not turn out anywhere near the Obama levels. Can Jones still get enough voters out to the ballot box to put him over the top? We will find out at the end of the day tomorrow.

Expecting any voting group in an off, off year election to turn out as they did during a presidential election is a bridge too far. I’m torn if anything can really be discerned from this election because of all the accusations against Moore, but I will be watching for some things like female voters over 45 and college educated voters.

That could be an opportunity if dems knew how to run a campaign and had actually made the sale to blacks that having a democrat in power would actually improve their lives. After all, the turnout in off-years is low for both sides. Taking advantage of low white turnout and enthusiasm provides a real opportunity for Acorn to be handing out the free cigarettes and loading up the buses to take people to vote. The lesson Hillary learned was that running against a highly flawed candidate is a gift from the gods but you still have to have a message and do the work.

They wouldn’t vote for Jesus if he was democrat in Alabama.

Focus your mind.

We are talking about dem turnout, and the majority of dems in Alabama are black. Blacks are not going to be voting for republicans and lib dems are not going to be voting republican. The problem is that a large number of dems are not going to be voting for dems either. Otherwise, this would be a golden opportunity to get out the vote and pick off a flawed republican in a off year election where republican turnout would already be low, and then magnified by a shit-bum candidate.

Jesus H. Talk about learned helplessness. Sometimes you gotta pull your pants up and go out on the hunt and kill something and drag it home all by yourself.

What you’re modeling is a very heavy lift and the Dems are no doubt pushing for what you’re saying. But, let’s be honest this is Alabama we are talking about.

I understand what you’re saying, I just don’t see the outcome going that way even if they had the perfect candidate. The resentment is deep rooted down there and there’s a lot of muscle memory in the voting booth.

.

Yeh, I don't know. In some ways, I am just playing along with the arguments and information being presented today. You can argue that ""this is Alabama we are talking about" but some lefties are getting giddy about some polls showing the dem candidate with a ten point lead. Alright fine, you got a ten point lead, then how heavy a lift is that? Just show up and vote. How come if '"this is Alabama we are talking about" the dem has a ten point lead? I thought I just heard that they would not even be in favor of Jesus if he was a democrat. Oh I see. They might be in favor but you said would not show I up to vote. Got it.

Maybe the dems just need to get their fingers out of their arse and vote.
Instead, on Wednesday their will be article after article about how dems lost because Alabama enacted a voter id law and will not let felons vote. It's how your ilk rolls. Big sorry arse excuses, no work.

Roy Moore is the future of the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.
A cogent observation.

We should understand the bizarre episode of the past election and first 11 months of the Trump Presidency as a warning of our terrible vulnerability and the fragile nature of our American Republic. We have gone from being one the most stable and respected Western nations to one of the least. Although it is not yet apparent to many, the Country's future as a stable democratic republic hangs by a thread. We have been attacked by a foreign power that has successfully waged and won a war of disinformation against our politicians and core institutions. The Country is now led by a thrice bankrupt business man with a reputation for fraud and deceit, a man who has been embroiled in over four thousand lawsuits, a demagogue who, although sworn to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, is in conflict with it and the Nations Institutions. He tells his constituents that the political process, a process by which he himself was elected, is "rigged"; he disparages the integrity of our Intelligence Community, State Department, and FBI; he refers to our public servants as "very bad people"; he incites violence at his rallies; he disparages the press and calls its exposure of his constant lies "fake news"; he appoints as agency heads those who will dismantle the agencies they head; he appoints judges and advisors on the basis of loyalty instead of experience and qualifications; and now he supports a U.S. Senate Candidate that has twice been removed from the Alabama Supreme Court; a man who is a morally bankrupt liar like himself.

Gee, you sound like you are worried that your private parts might fall off or something.

I sure hope that doesn't happen.

Are you trying to get ahead of a Roy Moore victory and blame putting a child molester in the senate on Dems? Are you coming to terms with the gravity of that one day before the election?

The real issue for Jones is getting all the people who are likely to support him out to vote tomorrow. This election is really a turnout issue at this point, and the young Democrats are likely to stay home - there have been articles outlining this in regards to the Alabama Senate race.

I expect Moore to win. This is southern confederate state whites, you can always count on them to do the morally reprehensible thing. They are the pro slavery, pro KKK,pro jim crow, pro segregation, anti civil rights etc people so of course they have no problem with men in their 30's trying to have sex with under age 18 girls.
