I wouldn't compare Confederate soldiers to the groups you listed. I would however say that Antifa is nearly identical in comparison to those groups. None of that is the point I was making in my post. The problem with that justification is the same can be said about Nazis, the Taliban, Al Queda, ISIS... they all fought for the beliefs and risked their lives for a cause.
I mean to repeatedly blow yourself up to kill civilians in a bus or cafe takes real courage and conviction....Nazis truly believed in their cause and fought like hell until the bitter end. Think of how much guts it took for Al Queda to face drones and troops and still come back to commit mass shootings at hotels and car bombs at checkpoints.
The point is I respect people who are willing to put it all on the line. Whether or not I agree with their personal beliefs is irrelevant. So far Antifa has put nothing on the line. Soon as they start getting killed in large numbers, should they stand up and fight, keep coming back for more, they'll have my respect for doing so even though I would obviously not support their reasons for fighting as they are fascists. Until then they are just a group of punks who have yet to meet any resistance.
