Monthly trading expenses.

Quote from Fast_Trader:

Here's my list:

1. Charting pkg: $99
2. Data feed: $40
3. Briefing.com subscription: $9.99
4. Subscription to a real-time Market scanning tool: $75

Guess that's about it. Might replace datafeed with eSignal which I think it around $129 or so per month.

1. Quotetracker $7
2. IQFeed $23

$30.

Quote from DT-waw:

Eurex exch fee: 8 EUR
QuoteTracker for intraday charting: free
Futuresource.com from longer-term charting (15 delayed): free
Electricity usage (PC, Bloomberg on TV): ~$10
Total: below $20/mo :)

Isn't Quotetracker one of the free API's for IB? I've heard its good, but you have to store all data locally (on yer PC).

BTW, my expenses:

Qcharts $96
CSI for long term commodity data $36
Total: $132

I used to pay $800 plus in the late 80's, which was the going rate back then for live data delivered via sattelite.

Quote tracker - $ 70 a year
MB trading as one of my Brokers - Free data Feed and Level 2
Briefing .Com - I use the free one
Backup ISP - $ 0 ( use to have one it was a waste of $$ now that I don't trade much )
Market Scanner - why bother , I only trade 6 stocks :)

SierraCharts $7/mo (need IB or myTrack acct)
HQuote Pro (one time charge $55) for swiping free historical
data, display in SierraCharts.

I used to use QCharts, but find the above setup superior. It took a little getting used to though.

web site subscriptions: realmoney, minyanville, yahoo market tracker, briefing $55/mo
esignal 140, qcharts 85
cable internet 40
tc2000 35
web based filter software 25

$380/mo
