I wrote in direct response to the thread topic. Many (not all) other responses are off topic and utterly unrelated.

Oh, laughing at creatures like you is rarely a waste of time. It helps clarify what's real in the midst of the bullshit you write, and it's highly entertaining. What's not to like?

Your "direct response" was a vitriolic, spittle-spraying, fanatical baying at the moon; not a single sign of a single active brain cell, just standard Marxist agitprop. And now you are going to call time on other people? I don't think so.

I am totally on the same page as Carlin. In case you did not yourself watch the clip he talks exactly about the same aberrations in American society that plague America today and that I pointed out. He just put it much more eloquently and said so 30 or 40 years earlier.

Then you literally missed everything he said. Carlin's entire point - stated with clarity, precision, and humor - was that useless whiners like you are arrogant and stupid, can do nothing whatsoever about the planet, and are too incompetent to even take care of yourselves. In fact, he emphasized kindness - taking care of someone other than yourself - as a key virtue... something that you clearly know nothing about while drowning in your hatred.

How could I possibly post a clip I did not watch? Duh? His point is that we humans who you say "spit upon the planet, we're killing the planet"...No, we're not. The earth is much BIGGER than us, and only we humans are arrogant enough to think that we have affected this planet so much that we can turn around and save it, when it doesn't need saving.

It is the time scale that humans cannot fathom. That's what blew Carlin's mind, and blows the mind of any logical thinker to think that we are fucking up the world. The world was getting fucked up in way greater intensity way before we were even a species!

I'm always amused by these virtue-seeking breast-beaters who pick "SEV DUH URTH" for their Cause of the Day(tm). The Great Oxygenation Event that killed off 95%+ of all life on Earth? The human population bottleneck, where humanity was down to some thousands of individuals? Fuck, even the the La Garita eruption (interestingly, I was hiking the caldera there just a couple of weeks back...)? You might want to read up on the side effects of fracking and the draughts and multiple standard deviation away from normal weather phenomena that are observed that can't be explained by normal cycles.

Re Carlin, this was only one of his many points, his main points in most of his shows is his amazement with dumb Americans who limitless consume and get dumber and fatter by the day. Pretty much every single show of his highlights this theme.

You have zero concept of time scales. Scientists have already measure lots of historical fossilized records. Like the magnetic pole shifts. They have taken readings from the mid-Atlantic rifts and have seen pole reversals happening like 30 times or some crazy number in the history of the tectonic plates there.

But then you ask scientists what effect our carbon footprint will have on the earth, over the past 150 years of industrialization? They go hammana hammana hammana. They have NO idea what effect it will have. They just follow the political view so they can continue to get federal grants from politicians so they can continue to get a salary and predict DOOM!

They all sit there and cite how a 2 degree rise in Celcius will melt all the glacial ice and will kill us as a species.
