I'm not one who wants open borders or to abolish ice, but it's one case, there are 17k murders a year.

As an illegal, he should not have been here at all.

Had he been prevented from entering or had been deported and kept out of the country, Tibbitts would almost certainly have been alive today.

So... how many murders by illegal immigrants does it take before it "really matters"??

(If your daughter were raped and murdered.... would it still be "just one case" to you?)

When they get worse than citizens I'll say we have a problem, but it's not close.

The study looked at conviction data in Texas — which has the second-largest population of foreign-born residents — for native-born, undocumented immigrant, and legal immigrant residents.

The research found that native-born residents were most likely to commit and be convicted of crimes, while illegal immigrants saw a conviction rate that was 56% lower. Legal immigrants appeared to be the most law-abiding, with 86% fewer convictions than native-born Texans.

There's also a Criminology journal study from March which examines states' reported rates of violent crime and undocumented immigration. From 1990 through 2014, those data found a negative correlation — meaning that the more a population is comprised of undocumented immigrants, the lower the violent crime rate seemed to be.

You're missing the point entirely. You've put forth the argument, "It's OK for illegals to be here because of the percentage of murders they commit".

Illegals should not be here in the first place. There should be ZERO MURDERS BY ILLEGALS... THEY'RE HERE ILLEGALLY!! THEY SHOULDN'T BE HERE. PERIOD!

As long as they are lowering the crime rate per capita and providing cheap services, I don't see a huge issue, we certainly have more pressing things to worry about.

So... how many murders do they need to commit before it becomes a "pressing thing"?

You argue stupidly like my wife. ON IGNORE!!

Those "studies" are probably leftist propaganda. But even if they're not, crimes by illegals should be ZERO because they don't fucking belong here in the first place.

Here are the reported crime stats for illegals in Texas alone. The actual numbers are obviously higher because not all crimes are reported.

According to DHS status indicators, over 261,000 criminal aliens have been booked into local Texas jails between June 1, 2011 and July 31, 2018, of which over 175,000 were classified as illegal aliens by DHS.

Between June 1, 2011 and July 31, 2018, these 175,000 illegal aliens were charged with more than 273,000 criminal offenses which included arrests for 505 homicide charges; 30,408 assault charges; 5,396 burglary charges; 34,555 drug charges; 365 kidnapping charges; 15,100 theft charges; 22,213 obstructing police charges; 1,569 robbery charges; 3,212 sexual assault charges; 2,022 sexual offense charges; and 2,754 weapon charges. DPS criminal history records reflect those criminal charges have thus far resulted in over 112,000 convictions including 225 homicide convictions; 12,540 assault convictions; 2,967 burglary convictions; 16,762 drug convictions; 152 kidnapping convictions; 6,741 theft convictions; 10,720 obstructing police convictions; 950 robbery convictions; 1,567 sexual assault convictions; 1,076 sexual offense convictions; and 1,194 weapon convictions.
