What's this I'm hearing of this guy being employed by a local farm and having passed e-verify (thus making him not illegal)?

I doubt whether this illegal immigrant properly passed e-verify. First I doubt that the farm ran e-verify. Second if they id then they simply used a "stolen" Social Security number (probably every worker on the farm is using the same SSN or a small set of illegitimate SSNs).

Sorry Cowboy. Not getting flagged when running e-verify does not make you here legally. It just means that tool did not catch you or you used a stolen or your cousins credentials.

I have never heard of a farm running E-Verify. Most farms don't even enroll / subscribe to use the e-verify service.

Sadly, nothing of substance will be done because neither party has any real interest in solving this problem. Besides, we have tax cheats to give life sentences and pretend that's Russian collusion. Priorities people, it's campaign season. The question is, when the fuck isn't it campaign season.

They dont get a social security number anyway with a work visa, I dont think. It is tax id number or the number on a work permit or something - various points where the system can be gamed- usually just using your legal cousins number etc. Give it a couple days. Both ICE and the farmer/company have splaining to do. So let em splain.
He may have gotten your ssn out on the dark web and is using that. Or your credit card company may have given to them in their monthly data breach.
