Not terribly interested in this so I will just leave it here for you to continue your search: A note today for a certain Swedish mobile co claims the drop is because Amazon is planning to offer mobile subscriptions associated with their Prime service.

Telecom Stocks Drop After Report That Amazon Might Offer Mobile Service

Telecom investors are feeling some pain Friday following reports that Amazon.com is looking into entering mobile phone service.

Bloomberg News reported Friday that the retailing giant has been talking with wireless carriers about offering low-cost or free mobile to Prime subscribers.

Holders of traditional telecom stocks clearly don’t like the sound of that. AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile all fell at least 4% or more in recent trading Friday. Amazon rose a bit more than 1%.

You guys beat me to it, thanks. I eventually saw some articles on this. The big question is whether this will simply be a short-term bearish situation and if telecom stocks will rebound quickly or not.
 
What’s up with this Google Fi thing? Never understood who runs the signal. Amazon is probably doing the same thing.
