This is incorrect. Have you seen a beheading video? It takes quite a bit longer than a second. The head isn't removed clean from the body in one clean stroke. It is sawed off the body with a combat knife.

Lethal injection is a bit of a misnomer. There are three drugs typically used in the procedure:

a sedating drug to render the condemned unconscious (barbiturates such as sodium thiopental or pentobarbital)
a neuromuscular blocking drug to cause paralysis of all muscles except the heart (such as pancuronium or vercuronium bromide)
a lethal dose of potassium chloride to arrest the heart

The lethal injection is a far more humane and civilized execution. ISIS executions are medieval era spectacles designed to inflict maximum terror and pain.

You're trader. Why not play the odds? What do you think has a higher probability of a painless death?
If I had to choose an execution, I would choose lethal injection every time. I think the hundreds of men who've had their heads sawed off would probably make that choice as well.

I am sure that if it was a Muslim performing the lethal injection, you would be just fine with it.

So do you think that in the US anytime a convicted felon is executed they should behead them with a knife on TV instead of lethal injection? Is that what you are arguing?
