Whether that is $100k, $1mil or $0 at the end is irrelevant to me. My attention span is too short for poorly-run extended campaigns. Guess it's the Russell 2000 emini trader in me. I want to see losses quick or results running off in a favorable direction, one or the other. This trade is languishing somewhere between entry signal and initial stop-loss with zero progress yet.
Very well put. I've been willing to supspend disbelief up to this point, but after signing up for the new website and poking around on it last night, I've concluded that this whole thing reeks. It's actually giving me a sick feeling to my stomach and I don't quite know why, but I've been looking for a way to unsubscribe myself from this whole mess but can't find a way. Hopefully Doug will drop me after I've been inactive for a while.
There's a forum on the site where he wants everyone to share their account balances and monthly returns with the group so Doug can consider whether you can trade his money (although he said you could password protect the spreadsheet he provided if you wish). Yet someone already found a calculation error on the spreadsheet. Who runs their affairs like this?
He also wants everyone to post their photos, document their trading experience, and help each other out with their trading. Sorry, but if he actually was looking for traders to fund, he would not be doing this. Trading is not a community experience... it is an intensely personal endeavor and can only be learned through personal experience and sacrifice. No one helped me find my edge and I'm not going to willingly help anyone compete with me at my entry and exit points.
I have no idea what his true motive is, but the probability of it being finding multiple traders to fund is so low at this point that I'm no longer willing to trade my time for the small chance it is legit. I'm out.
