What was your point as I don't recall making a strawman.
Actually, my apologies. You had written this:

I missed that it was in the conditionall form. Excuse me.

Very Well said, and i doubt Romney will bring it up because he seems uncomfortable talking about his money, but here is some donations liberal heros have made in the past.

Al Gore 1997 - 353$

John Kerry 1991 - 0$
john Kerry 1992 - 820$
John Kerry 1993 - 173$
John Kerry 1994 - 2039$
John Kerry 1995 - 0$

Joe Biden - Average 369$ per year over the last decade.

Someone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I've looked through a lot of stuff, and I think these tax statements make Romney the most "charitable" candidate in modern history.

He probably won't let them, but if I were his campaign managers I would start working a certain angle very quickly.

"I don't pay the 30% that the liberals want, but instead I pay 15%. I then take the opportunity to donate an additional 15% to charity. This is the way our society should work. Minimal payment to government to handle only those things that should be required of them. Then a robust system of charities in the private sector that are more capable of taking care of those who need help."

They also don't want to bring the Mormon church into the mix, but I would point out that the church that he gives a sizable donation to each year has a welfare program that puts the government welfare program to shame in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.

Quote from AK Forty Seven:

I'm actually starting to think Newt would be a tougher opponent then Romney

Newt has more fight in him than Romney.
I'm not exactly for Newt.
I'm just for Newt over Romney and Obama.
The guy I wanted to see in the White House was Herman Cain.
I also like Ron Paul.
Would prefer Ron Paul over Newt.

In 2003 when running for the Presidency Kerry gave 11 % to charity.Since Mitt has only released his taxes for 2010 and 2011 we dont know how much he gave 10 years prior to running for President like we do Kerry

We need to see Mitts returns for the 90's to make a fair comparison

Herman Cain, with his Indiana Jones fedora resting atop his temple of doom?

Did you read what was in the article you posted about him donating to the church....

His family charity, called the Tyler Foundation, has given more than $4 million to the church in the past five years, including $1.8 million in 2008 and $600,000 in 2009.

If you really think Romney was only giving away a couple hundred bucks a year in the 90's like Kerry did, after seeing that he has donated millions to his church over the years (based on your own article) then you are not paying attention to your own articles.

The fact of the matter is if Mitt was a leftie like Buffet he would be hailed as a hero, instead he gets demagogued over his tax rate.
