And I don't give a shit about how small the earmarks are in relation to the overall budget. It's bad policy and greases the wheels for all other types of game playing.
Obviously Repubs didn't get the message, which in my book makes them worse than Dems. At least the Dems are honest about spend, spend, spend. The Republican Party needs to be completely dismantled and/or replaced. Time to start working on a viable third party right now.

Republicans are laughing all the way to the bank about all those dumb fucks who genuinely thought that Obama's "socialism" is the cause of their problems.

It was the private sector (aided and abetted by a business friendly federal reserve that enabled all that by keeping interest rates low) that created CDOs and CDS, securitized mortgages, put AAA ratings on junk quality financial instruments, gave $500,000 mortgages to people with cashier's salary based on stated income (or no income/credit check), invented exotic mortgages, leveraged firms beyond any standard of safety/secruity, etc.

The current economic situation is 100% the fault of the private sector which means Capitalism not socialism created this mess.

The truly tragic thing is that majority of the ignorant hillbilies (aka the Tea Party) don't even know what Socialism means. In the classical definition it is the government taking control of majority of factors of production(if they took control of all factors of production it would be command economy aka communism). They confuse social programs and mandates with genuine socialism.

And republicans don't care what you think because you have no money/power to influence anything. You need money to be a political force and tea partiers got it from people like Rove who channeled it for a purpose.
