Key words were "Financial Panics," you can pick any one of them, ie Panic of 1893, Panic of 1873, and then compare the aftermath of the past 6 years.

Your compensation isn't rising?

I am not indicative of the population as a whole. The chart I posted was from the San Fran Fed. Wages are stagnant (or declining if you want to narrow the time frame).
