Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, Ohio, Alabama passing 6 week abortion ban bills

@Ricter

When the Apostle John was given his vision and prophecy “The Revelation”, in his vision (chapter 6) he stands before the Throne of Heaven, when the fifth seal is opened John sees, under the Alter, those who were slain, martyred for their witness and for the Word of God. They are crying out for vengeance.

And the LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground. Gen 4:10 ESV

All sin, and specifically the sin of “murder” (for this discussion) stains, negatively affects the ground, the physical boundaries of those involved, think Sodom and Gomorrah,....

Then the LORD said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave, I will go down to see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry that has come to me. And if not, I will know.” Gen 18:20-21

Make no mistake, this country is being judged for it’s actions. It’s divine providence and protection are gone as this country has turned it’s back on God, the One who guided it’s inception and growth.

And like Sodom and Gomorrah where Lot and his family had to be removed from the city before God’s judgement fell, the one thing standing in the way of God’s judgement in toto on this country is his True Church.

Don’t worry, very soon this world will sadly get what it wants.

That's True Church™

Mom was right then. Amercia is a honey trap and only those who forsake it, leaving and never returning will be saved (maybe). We agree on something I guess.

So how long are you going to enjoy the pleasures before leaving for a Godly place as Lot did?

I love this cliched shit..
sharply dividend....
fiery dissent

and I really love this one... from a justice herself no less.

“Presented with an application to enjoin a flagrantly unconstitutional law engineered to prohibit women from exercising their constitutional rights and evade judicial scrutiny, a majority of Justices have opted to bury their heads in the sand,” Sotomayor wrote.

----

If it so flagrantly unconstitutional why are you writing a dissent?
Its is obviously not flagrant...

The Supreme Court ruling came out late yesterday -- it was a 5-4 ruling to not block the Texas abortion rules.

A sharply divided Supreme Court on Wednesday night refused to block a Texas law that bans most abortions, leaving the country’s most restrictive abortion measure intact.

Just before midnight, the court denied an emergency request from abortion providers to block the law, issuing a 5-4 ruling with Chief Justice John Roberts joining the court's three liberal justices in dissent.

The majority, citing procedural complexities, said abortion providers had failed to make a persuasive case for the court to step in but added that the challengers had raised “serious questions” about the law’s constitutionality.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in a fiery dissent that was joined by her two fellow liberal justices, called the ruling “stunning.”

“Presented with an application to enjoin a flagrantly unconstitutional law engineered to prohibit women from exercising their constitutional rights and evade judicial scrutiny, a majority of Justices have opted to bury their heads in the sand,” Sotomayor wrote.

The Texas bill at issue was signed into law in May by Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and took effect Wednesday. It prohibits abortions after the presence of a fetal heartbeat is detected, which can occur as early as six weeks after a woman becomes pregnant, and only makes exceptions for medical emergencies.

The impact of the law was already felt in Texas by late Wednesday, according to abortion providers, who said they were complying with the new state law by not offering abortions following the detection of fetal cardiac activity. The groups estimate that about 85 to 90 percent of women who get an abortion in Texas are at least six weeks into their pregnancy.

In July, a group of abortion providers filed a lawsuit to block Texas state judges from enforcing the law and court clerks from accepting lawsuits that allege violations. But a federal appeals court late last month effectively paused the legal challenge, prompting the group's emergency request to the Supreme Court.

Good question. Can one be “in” the world but not “of” the world. :)

The thing is, my mom actually never returned after she left to study. We were allowed to visit family as kids on the basis we need to make up our own minds. None of her children took up their US citizenship by 18 mind you.

She was brought up with the same America was special bla bla.

Enjoy your home and posessions there so before the burning and the screaming and such, the 'son of man' is close eh?

Close? Yes.

IMO.....fwiw......

I truly believe America, USA had a dual purpose. The first was ultimately fulfilled in WW2 late 1940’s with the acceptance of the newly formed state of Israel. We’ve been a shield for them since but that’s about to end, Imo.

The second was a Spiritual mission to evangelize the globe. The Nation was founded during one of the great spiritual awakenings, late 1700’s. While this evangelizing mission still goes on today, I believe the last spiritual awakening of any merit was the late 60’s early 70’s, there was smaller movement in the 1990’s. Since then Church membership has fallen every year.

The prosperity (mammon) that ensued after WW2, rebuilding the world, led to the problems we have today. From the Boomers on down, each following generation has sold itself and stepped farther and farther into the world.

There are those who see the US as the “Whore of Babylon”, Babylon the Great as described in the Revelation. I personally don’t see it that way, but I will note that I don’t see the US mentioned anywhere in that prophecy. Either we’ve thrown our lot in with the rest of the world, or in our position regarding Israel, we are no longer pertinent.

If we are Babylon, then our demise will be swift and quick. :(

But I digress, put that soapbox away..... apologies for going off the rails.

Hope you and yours are doing well.

All well thanks, hope same in Oklahoma.

I'm sure that Babylon was actually just the ancient city. The US is not mentioned in the bible and as for the merchants of Tarshish and such, I'm also sure hundreds of years in the future people on the planet Tarshish will think it applies to them and so on and be wrong. I expect lions will be extinct by then though.

But I'd still not want to die too wealthy, just to be safe. This whole I am somebody because of my birthplace has been a folly going back before the Greeks.

Yeah, too easy in the 50s and parasitic since.

Happens we are watching The Handmaids Tale series for the first time, Amy "Mrs Waterford" Barret I heard of but did it get the reference till now.

You do understand that abortion is murder right? ---So worried about deaths from Kung Flu, but doesn't give a rip about millions of babies murdered.----Disgusting.

You are incredibly ignorant, we get it. Abortion isn't murder. I doubt you'd support anyone never mind a young mother with an unwanted pregnancy. Yet you want to impose your will and irrational beliefs on other's lives. This is why laws protect woman's rights from ignorant slugs like you.
