Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, Ohio, Alabama passing 6 week abortion ban bills

While acknowledging that most lefties and conservatives disagree on the abortion, it would seem- but apparently not- that both could at least agree that infanticide should be made illegal.

But no. Apparently, the lefties will not even yield on that point. Maybe we can have Gov. Northrop of Virginia the Blackface doctor explain again how he proceeds in cases where the baby is born alive after the abortion and that is not what the mother wanted.

Barbaric and savage as hell. Total lowlifers.

Last I knew, a baby born alive- regardless of what the parents wanted- is legally known as "an American citizen." Entitled to full protection of the laws and creating an affirmative obligation to provide life saving measures. Let me know where I am going wrong with that and I will correct you.

What would these laws do?
These so-called “heartbeat” laws ban abortion after the point when a fetal heartbeat can be detected. This often occurs as early as six weeks into a pregnancy, when an ultrasound may be able to detect the pulsing of what will become the fetus’s heart.

These laws therefore move the ban on abortion in those states more than four months earlier than the current constitutional standard.

Doctors measure the start of pregnancy from the date of a woman’s last menstrual period, which is usually about two weeks before a fetus is conceived. (That timing is used because it’s generally impossible to know the exact moment of conception.) So these new laws would essentially prohibit abortion when an embryo is four weeks into development.

That — usually just two weeks after a missed period — is before many women realize they are pregnant.

The Georgia law makes exceptions, allowing later terminations of pregnancies resulting from rape or incest, something not included in every version of these laws. Most of the laws allow abortion if the woman’s life or health is seriously threatened.
EXCELLENT NEWS!!

Did the Supreme Court do anything official on this or just back-burner it?

I mean obviously I'm not telling you yoyo's anything earth-shattering here, but this is a big deal. What's the latest on the House/Senate getting more justices on the Court? Is that a no go because of Manchin or is there some round-about way they can get it done? I remember hearing talk of that; not my forte obviously. But I have a feeling the news cycle is gonna shift from Afghanistan to this pretty quick and in a big way.

From a MSM standpoint, Texas has played right into Biden's (operators'?) hands. This will heat up fast and we're talking 'super-sized' marches on DC. Both sides. Afghanistan will soon slip from our collective adhd memory. It's the same as always though, the powers that control our media and their 24/7 fire-hose of American division will conveniently turn the page.

Tell you what...

When you fuckers on the left and you fear filled fuckers ... begin to be concerned about other American's rights... on other subjects...

and argue for our "my body my choice" "my kids bodies their choice" with respect to vaccines...

maybe you will get some help from the millions of us who believe constitutional rights matter and that you don't have to believe what we believe.

The Supreme Court ruling came out late yesterday -- it was a 5-4 ruling to not block the Texas abortion rules.

Supreme Court declines to block Texas abortion law

A sharply divided Supreme Court on Wednesday night refused to block a Texas law that bans most abortions, leaving the country’s most restrictive abortion measure intact.

Just before midnight, the court denied an emergency request from abortion providers to block the law, issuing a 5-4 ruling with Chief Justice John Roberts joining the court's three liberal justices in dissent.

The majority, citing procedural complexities, said abortion providers had failed to make a persuasive case for the court to step in but added that the challengers had raised “serious questions” about the law’s constitutionality.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in a fiery dissent that was joined by her two fellow liberal justices, called the ruling “stunning.”

“Presented with an application to enjoin a flagrantly unconstitutional law engineered to prohibit women from exercising their constitutional rights and evade judicial scrutiny, a majority of Justices have opted to bury their heads in the sand,” Sotomayor wrote.

The Texas bill at issue was signed into law in May by Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and took effect Wednesday. It prohibits abortions after the presence of a fetal heartbeat is detected, which can occur as early as six weeks after a woman becomes pregnant, and only makes exceptions for medical emergencies.

The impact of the law was already felt in Texas by late Wednesday, according to abortion providers, who said they were complying with the new state law by not offering abortions following the detection of fetal cardiac activity. The groups estimate that about 85 to 90 percent of women who get an abortion in Texas are at least six weeks into their pregnancy.

In July, a group of abortion providers filed a lawsuit to block Texas state judges from enforcing the law and court clerks from accepting lawsuits that allege violations. But a federal appeals court late last month effectively paused the legal challenge, prompting the group's emergency request to the Supreme Court.

The majority of Planned Parenthood clinics are in predominantly black neighborhoods. Democrats support Planned Parenthood and their abortion activities, yet claim that Conservatives are racists that want to kill minorities.
