Get a lawyer. Any plea made in court has a certain time limit in which you could withdraw the plea before it becomes permanent. Depending on the state, you have anywhere fom 20 days to 45. Don't delat. Monday go to a lawyer and check your options.
thanks im contemplating this.. the problem is that i dont have 5-10k pay for drawn out legal dispute.
when i was in front of the judge fumbling to explain how i have a CA drivers license, moved from boston in august, been traveling back and forth between NYC since the fall, and this happened in Florida.. a lady came up and said that my "bail will be set high since im out of town"... she literally said "just say no contest and you'll be released today"
in retro spec it would have been nice to say "let the record show that a court clerk has instructed me to plead no contest" im pretty sure that violation of some protocol...legal grounds to have this thrown out???
