Quote from OPTIONAL777:
It is a shame that I couldn't face you in a court of law as opposing counsel, I would there be able to make a fool of you as easily as I do here...
My goodness, you must have graduated from the bottom of your class in law school and have had to take the bar multiple times...

Quote from jem:
your point is what -- that gay sex equals a creed because you found a revised definition for marriage?
you are one twisted mind at work.
Quote from OPTIONAL777:
Gay sex, or straight sex, or any kind of sex is in the mind before it is in the body, therefore it is a belief system as to whether or not to opt for one kind of sex over another...
Don't you know that the only thing actually dirty or sinful is the human heart and mind, and not the human body???
Oh, and when there is a discussion of whether someone is able to make an informed decision on sex, it is the mind that is looked at...not the body.
Just because someone is 18 years old physically does not mean that the court would view them as capable of an informed decision on whether or not to have sex with a partner of any kind, etc. as they might have a mental problem that prevents them from being able to make what the court determines is "informed" consent...
It is about the mind, which in your case doesn't work very well...
Quote from Mercor:
The "legal bubble" that the State has setup for marriage was established to protect children especially in the event of the death of one spouse. That's all.
Why should we allow two or more adults to benefit from such a legal situation. Does this not discriminate against single adults.
From hereon forward only couples that have children will be called married. Only they will receive full State legal preferences.
All other adults can form legal relationships as they please.
If you work for the government and have great insurance you can auction it off to a partner for top dollar. This would take care of the problem of uninsured very fast.
Quote from OPTIONAL777:
Your comments are nonsense of course. The legal protection is for survivor benefits (yes, even childless couples), and for the right to make decisions on when to pull the plug, etc.
Having a "spouse" status elevates the person to the level of the rights (or exceeds the rights) of blood relatives...
