BARAK OBAMA on gay marriage.
"I will tell you that I don't believe in gay marriage, but I do think that people who are gay and lesbian should be treated with dignity and respect and that the state should not discriminate against them. So, I believe in civil unions that allow a same-sex couple to visit each other in a hospital or transfer property to each other. I don't think it should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state. If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans. That's my view. But we can have a respectful disagreement on that."

I have no idea what Obama's personal opinion is, because as a politician he will nearly always be speaking from that platform, and his goal to get elected and stay elected.
As a president, I think he needs to leave his Bible at the door and govern in a secular manner.

It's not as simple as you state.
For an opposite-sex couple, they can get all the legal protections of all these contracts and more, for $20.
For the gay couple, itâs going to cost them tens of thousands of dollars, and they lose legal protections and legal precedents;

Obama's reputation as a State Senator in a 90% Democrat district (his district was only marginally majority black btw) was that of a less than gay pandering politician. He was the rare Democrat who'd blow off opportunities to sit down with the editorial staff of the Windy City Times or march in the Gay Pride parade.
Blacks don't oppose gay marriage on religious grounds-although I'm sure the liberal white media just loves to ascribe religion as the reason.
Unlike liberal anything goes whites-black culture looks upon homosexuality as a trait of the weak. If you ask a black guy if he's ever engaged in same-gender relations in prison you'll get this answer, "yea but that's different. I'm no faggot!"
Secondly they look upon it as a "white right." Because very few black men would dare marry each other blacks feel less than compulsive about throwing whitey a bone-no pun intended.

So Miss California's response was basically that she agreed with Obama. Only difference being that she was attacked, denied the pageant crown and is basically finished in the modelling and pageant world, since homos control both.
I didn't intend this thread to turn into an argument pro or con gay marriage. I do think this incident perfectly illustrates how intolerant the left is, even as they demand tolerance from anyone who disagrees with them. They're not even satisfied with tolerance. As this episode demonstrates, anything less than total support for their agenda and they will stop at nothing to destroy you.
This is probably a good lesson to keep in mind unfortunately for those of you who work in environments where you are vulnerable. It's also a very good reason never to hire a homo.
