Mirus lays an egg

milnarf, i'm not a mirus client - yet - there's order entry/hang
problems being reported on the ninja forum
mirus supplies zenfire to other brokers and we haven't as yet
seen reports from their clients so is the problem limited to mirus ?

repeat: additional Seven Ticks info / link ?

7tick is a separate company from Mirus, but some of the ownwers
also own Mirus, thus an affiliated company but separate due to tax reasons and liability. They provide Mirus and other firms
IT data services to transmit bundled data to CME Globex.
7tick errors is the reason for the recent trade rejections and data outbursts. Elliot has stated the problem is now fixed, but who knows. They do not have a link or a web site, just a small IT consulting firm separate from Mirus but affiliated.

thanks milnarf - just missing the 's' - http://www.7ticks.com/Pages/Index.html

" Tier 1 Research- 7Ticks expands to third Telx facility -Dan Golding - - excerpt
Most of 7Ticks' business revolves around servicing firms that do business with the
Chicago Mercantile Exchange/Chicago Board of Trade. The two key drivers for 7Ticks'
expansion to New York were increasingly limited available colocation space in Chicago
(T1R wishes them luck finding more space in New York) as well as an increasing list of
New York-based customers who would like some sort of mediated access to Chicago
commodities trading activities. T1R also wonders if the pending acquisition of the New
York Mercantile Exchange by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange has anything to do with
the expansion – it would be a logical move.
7Tick's next expansion will take it to Germany, for interconnection with the Eurex
Exchange in Frankfurt. Luckily, transatlantic fiber capacity is at an all-time low,
cost-wise, which will facilitate these sort of Europe-bound expansions going forward. "

" When connecting to Zen-Fire, the trader establishes a connection to
rz000aa.7ticks.com in order to place orders and receive market data. (This is done
through a process called by NinjaTrader when using File->Connect from theControl
Center.) After the connection is established, packets will be transmitted from the rz000aa
server to the computer. If blocked, the trader will be unable to connect to the server and
will not be able to trade or receive market data."

I've preferred using NT with x-trader feed, which I suppose, is up to your broker. I've seen dome start "rattling" during high vol periods with 'center' off and and on. I feel like a drunk trying to hit a bid or offer. Wish TT was less expensive. [the rattling was with Zen feed btw] Has anyone had similar experience, say comparing NT to TT ?
