Okay, but did you perhaps explore or discuss natural means of increasing vim & vigor along the lines of lifestyle changes before resorting to drugs? Just curious.

Isn't height genetic? Can HGH really make a difference?
"Pituitary giants" have a tumor that keeps HGH flowing, you can be as big as you want.
Oh yeah, bla bla food and stuff
. Even trans-cranial magnetic stimulation (already did that last year myself) But.. I have now seen two good scalpers in trouble with their hearts, one died so I'm being a bit more aggressive. The daily bath of chemicals from focus is not good for the pumper.

It is very light touch stuff.
Go to school: learn something new. Meet some educated people. Some are still boring, but they are less likely to be boring than uneducated people.
Fix a problem in the world that no one else is funding, a la Bill Gates. Or even a small, local problem.
Tutor kids, prisoners, illiterate people who want to learn to read, or whatever floats your boat.
Foster a child, or a pet. I had a friend that used to foster babies for about a month at a time. Not my thing, but I could see fostering a teen for a bit.
Get some therapy. It will benefit anyone who is open to it (assuming you have a good therapist). Learn yourself, see yourself.
Write a book. Just start writing; don't worry about structure; it will fix itself .
Take up a new kind of exercise or sport. Swimming does not involve your knees; biking is good for your knees.
Learn a language or an instrument.
Become a groupie for some musician or other talented person you love. One of my friends used to follow Martha Argerich around the world, attending her concerts whenever and wherever. Or just collect the stuff. I have everything Kathleen Battle has ever recorded.

I wrote a book a bit like this, took longer to edit than to write and it took years to write
There is the issue of the desire to do anything beyond what my duty to other people demands to resolve. So first order, immor... ok maybe just wellness, a little more bounce.
My aunt has a lot of Callas and also Battle, we were listening to them last Christmas in Louisiana.
I have an idea to write a play, kind of like The Sunset Limited meets The African Queen, set in space though
