Same with Buffet.
It make sense to give the bulk of your fortune away when you retire or you when you cant grow your fortune anymore.
If you can continue to grow your wealth by 20% a year or whatever, the charities are going to much better off in the long run.

Buffet is irritating because he spent the vast majority of his life employing an army of tax people to reduce his tax liability. Now, he's suddenly found religion. Of course, he has the option of paying more taxes than he owes. But he doesn't.
