Same thing over and over and over. Yes there are times when the index futures do not rally overnight. Don't ever think they do.

Cash open gap up from overnight index futures. FOMC is active in these markets.
All stock indexes will be at record highs at month-end.
If you think the NDX is going to rally 1100 points in 3 weeks, yer inhaling too many mercury fumes, like the Mad Hatters of old. And I just went long the MES, so the ES will now be surpressed for 3 weeks. Mark it, dude.

Look the stock index futures are up overnight. Remember 90% of all U.S. stock market gains come from the overnight ramp-up in index futures.
