MicroStrategy's infinite money glitch

$50/share??? Do you even know what the book value of mstr is? My guess is it's a lot higher than that, but probably lower than what it's currently trading at

You did not analyze the mstr chart, you posted a 10 year interval chart of mstr, what you should have done was a 100-year, as it's kinda useless for anything

I don't know why people are so fascinated by this stock, it's nothing but a pumped up stock that will be back down to decade lows. As for book value, forget book value with this stock....once it was tied to bitcoin you can forget about book value.

I was just going over MSTR tonight in my log-book while updating some accounting for next-year's taxes.

I almost can't believe it's been almost a whole year already since I first shorted a PUT at the 200 strike. I also remember purchasing a bit of stock too when the perma-bears were screaming it's going to zero, zero, zero.

So compared to zero, I guess 50 isn't so bad? :sneaky:

How long will it be before the bears start shouting "It's head back down to below the 10K level!"

Sure, was quite a hit it took today, but everything in NasDaq took a hit, and big Fed meeting coming up in hours. People are expecting potential (surprises).

Did you see the earnings??? You tell me how you can value a company at $22 billion with the earnings they just released......

It seems to be forming a 3-SHARP-NEEDLE pattern (see post #59).

Good thing is
uptrend - traders earn $$$
downtrend - traders also earn $$$

But!
sideway - traders will weep and gnash their teeth in despair
(unless they enter credit option trade early enough).

I hope this pops to 1500 or 1600 or even 1300 I'll add more of a short position. It's headed straight below 500!

Speaking of MSTR, down 25% in the last 2 days. When the going is good it outperforms BTC, but when the going is not going, it drops hard.

You got your wish, but be careful

Mstr in the s&p 500??

Based on what?

That they own bitcoin????

Mstr has no reason to be in the s&p

Did you see last earnings report. The market cap of mstr makes zero sense with revenues at just 115 million, which were actually down 5% compared to last quarter of 2023...
Operating expenses were nearly 300 million up 152%%%

And then on top of that a loss from operations of 203 million compared to just a loss of 20 million in first quarter of 2023

So why doesn't every single publicly trading company on all exchanges take their balance sheets to tap the capital markets and aquire bitcoin??? If the masses believe bitcoin is going to 150k 250k 300k 500k 1 million 5 million 10 million 25 million and even 1 billion for a single fairytale bitcoin then why doesn't every company do the same thing mstr is doing and just piggyback off of the bitcoin rise and make all shareholders and the economy filthy wealthy?? I just don't understand why mstr is the only company out of thousands making this happen??

Ohhhh and let me just say why ohhh why is Mr ceo selling literally shares of mstr every single day? Literally every single day mstr is trading Mr ceo is willing thousands and thousands of shares. Last I heard he sold off $370,000,000 worth of mstr stock. Now someone who is so intertwined with a company they started, why would he continue to sell off shares continously ???

Mstr in the s&p 500??

Based on what?

There's a set of criteria before a stock is added to an index fund

For the S&P 500, the top 500 biggest companies by market cap, and mstr is in the top 300.... and profitable for the past number of quarters

This would help your short position. Are you adding at the open or will you wait until $1600 before adding?

other criteria as well including a discretionary one.
