Micro Bitcoin commission question

NinjaTrader's lowest all in rate is $2.76 with only $500 margin as listed on our website.

There is a current promotion running this month for commission free micro bitcoin trading through the remainder of the year. More information publicly available here.

There's a reason why CME and ICE are so profitable.

It's the exchange fees that they charge Brokers, who pass it along to the clients or absorb the cost if they run some type of subscription program or something.

We are not misleading anyone we are simply trying to help. It was stated TD commission is $2.25 per side. That cannot be their all-in cost because the CME exchange fee per side is $2.50 and that is the same for all firms. You add commission + exchange fee. At Tradovate the is $0.25 commission + $2.50 CME exchange fee = $2.75. At TD that would be $2.25 + $2.50 = $4.75.

Yeah, TDA never quotes reg-fees; only comms. They are at 4.77 per side and initial at $4,500 per.

The implementation is so strange.

They should of just added a new symbol.
I agree with you that this new micro should have been given a new symbol. It is very easy to overlook the multiplier and thus select the wrong contract to trade.
But it is not the first time that IB re-uses an existing symbol and changes the multiplier. They have done the same with silver (SI) and the German DAX. IB is rather inconsistent in their naming convention. For example: with S&P500 (ES, MES), NASDAQ (NQ, MNQ), DJI30 and several FX currencies (e.g. 6E, M6E) have they created separate symbols for the micro contracts.

Symbols are there to avoid confusion. So, if you are asking about something, make sure that you share the symbol so that it gets easier to understand.

So then please dont compare 0.25 with others which are all in fees. Compare your 2.75 which you now did. Thanks.

I have been with Tradovate now for 5 years and never have they mislead me as trader. They are up front and it is the traders responsibility to understand what the difference between commission and fees are
