He did, but in the society where 10% enojoy their rights, and 90% no matter what they do are left behind, bad things happen eventually - revolutions. The state needs to be involved, otherwise the above situation will eventually take place. However, the trick is to find the right balance, no clue what it is.
The scary thing in US is that we could soon reach a situation when more than 50% of citizens pay NO TAX, and their votes hold as mucg power as us who pay taxes, and this is very wrong and dangerous.
One of the main premesis of our revolution was no taxation without representation. I say it should be brought back, slightly changed though, no representation without taxation
I heard an interview of Moore and it was obvious that the guy is an ignorant fool, thus a perfect 'useful idiot'. - - He doesn't seem to understand that he bashes 'capitalism' (when we actually have a mercantilist partnership of banking/business/politicians with protected cartels limiting competition, - that could very well degrade to fascism). In addition, he doesn't seem to see the irony that he 'looks out for the little guy' while putting millions in his own pocket and spreading the kind of ideas that will do nothing but completely impoverish the average person, and make him totally dependent.
All the fallacies now being sold, the collectivist b.s., fiat paper money based on nothing - - have been tried before at different times & places. They have all have all resulted in disaster - poverty and the loss of personal liberty.
This ass won't get a dollar of my money (even though it is declining in long term value.) - -

Ok. but as I mention in my review it was more than Moore. That whole theater stood up and cheered. There is a wide cross section of people who might not voice up much, but they really want all those free goodies FDR promised all those years ago.
Michael Moore is no better or worse than all the extremist views we get via all our wonderful 24 hours news networks.
Unfortunately the days of non-editorialized news reporting have all but vanished.
As a moderate with independent views I can only take in as much information as I can and draw my own conclusions.
These days it is not wise to look to figures within the media to offer any sort of insight or guidance.
Everybody has an angle and that angle is to get as much press and make as much money as possible.
There is no honor in reporting just the facts. As a reporter/documentarian your viewership would be in the toilet.

When was the press (and history) ever not editorialized? I grew up hearing about what a great President FDR was, but "great" was not the word I would have used to describe the man I watched proposing a second bill of rights.
