I think we should be very careful as to how we respond to this. The Mormons down there aren't a bunch of innocent bystanders. They are in fact pretty much a cartel of their own. The drug cartels have 10,000 plus soldiers in this country and they can do some serious damage. Wade into this to heavy handed and they will hit back. You ready for several thousand dead Americans? We fuck with these people at great peril is what I'm saying, and our own government and all of it's agencies have played in huge role in creating this monster. NO CLEAN HANDS.
Viewed in the context of when it was filmed, yes it was a Romney hit piece. Viewing it today in light of what happened it gives us insight as to why the Mormons are there, what they're doing and the ongoing feud they've had with the drug cartels. It's important to make the distinction between some group of tourists getting whacked and a retaliatory hit from one gang on another. Based on the current info this ain't our fight and if the Mormons want to live there then they need to provide better protection for their women and children.

This is about to get very real. Mexican drug cartels are so emboldened now that the Mexican president surrendered to them that they attacked a group of Americans living in Mexico. They brutally murdered three mothers and their babies, burning the babies alive in their SUVs after machine gunning them. The women were probably gang raped before being shot. Mexican authorities and our own State Department are trying to hide details to prevent more outrage.
Trump is furious and pledged to wage war on them in conjunction with Mexico, but the Mexican president has said that won't happen. In effect, he has either given up or been compromised. We must now accept that Mexico is a failed state and our own security requires preemptive action. That means not only a real wall, but a massive troop presence on the border with orders to shoot to kill. It also means we will have to send special ops troops into Mexico to wipe out these monsters.
The real life Sicario is coming for you.
The US State Department should declare Mexico off limits to Americans. Trump should escalate the war on drugs and empower law enforcement to use the advanced methods and technologies used by the intelligence community to put a hurting on the drug dealers.
We need to establish our credibility in that hurting Americans is bad for business whether you are a drug dealer or whether you allow drug dealers to run rampant in your country. I wonder if Mexico should pay reparations? The key is for us to remain committed in fighting these cartels. If the cartels start killing people North of the border, we do raids South of the border and kill cartel members and destroy their drug making infrastructure. Perhaps we could charge back the costs of apprehending illegals to Mexico by putting an appropriate tariff on Mexican goods. The loss of American tourists might be enough to bring them around, though.

So if they kidnap your son and then kill your brother, you are having a "feud?" Because the evidence was they were minding their own business and were the repeat victims of heinous crimes. You are making wild speculations that they are also drug dealers or maybe arms traffickers, but I have seen nothing to substantiate anything like that. So I think the appropriate term is religious community or perhaps clan, not gang.
I'm saying know what fight you are getting into because things can always get a lot worse.
Unintended consequences happen when half-cocked action is taken. I'm all for killing the guys who did this to kids, everyone is. Until I know the status of the LeBarons and their legal or illegal activities I don't know what I need to.
