Unfortunately for Cuomo, his situation is the exact opposite of what Governor Blackface presented. Y'all will recall the dems may have disapproved of Gov. Blackface and his Lt. Gov who was accused of rape but they could not figure out how the hell to get them out without running the risk of their being replaced by a republican.

Not so in New York. The minute Cuomo is charged he will have to step aside and let the Lt. Gov take over during the impeachment if there is to be one. The lefties consider the Lt. Guv. to be a step up because she is a woman and not from an old dynasty. And further down the road they want to replace Cuomo with the AG, a far left progressive black woman. So they see only upsides to moving him out.

They had to wait for Trump to leave though. They did have a problem where taking a position against Cuomo was and would have been a win for Trump and they did not want that. But that is rear view mirror stuff now. Not sure what Andy's safety net is here. As I said, this is not the Virginia scenario. Not at all. The only similarity is that if the process of looking at the allegations ever let up he might have been able to get it to blow over. Such as he has done with the nursing home charges. But they have kept it alive in NY. Mostly to achieve the longer goal of getting him replaced with a progressive. What will be nasty is that Cuomo has to go after the AG to discredit her as being politically motivated. Very dicey stuff.

In other words, Cuomo is a democrat. The AG's findings would only be sufficient to conclude sexual harassment and legal violations occurred if it had been a republican.
