Just move man. I live in Chicago. No one in 9 years has ever bothered me. And I've spent time on the south side as well. Hell I've been the only white guy on the train before. Most people know not to fuck with me because I'll stare them down. Gangs and instigators looks for weakness. All predators do. Carry yourself in such a way that says, I hit back. If you have this scared look on your face all the time, you're dead. They'll eat you for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The real thugs are not going to hit you anyway. They'll put a hollow point shell right between your eyes. You won't feel a thing.

Yea, I moved to a nice middle-class white town north of the city. No problems, since. My buddy and I had this debate about the law of attraction. For sure, there's truth to it (timid/scared body language invites predators etc). But I think a lot comes down to location and color. Lots of my coworkers at the time had the same problems. You must give off some real crazy-ass vibes to be white, in Chicago, and not have any problems. haha

I lived in NY for two years so I got a chance to perfect my "don't fuck with me look". And nobody in NY did. I think one of the mistakes guys make is avoiding eye contact. That's the number one tell when someone is scared, they are afraid to make eye contact. The key is to not stare. You look at the guy one time and hold the stare for 3 seconds and let him know you see him and you know who he is. Then look away. Don't look at him again. That 3 seconds is enough time for him to get enough information about you and he will NOT bother you.

And btw, the idea is not to look or act tough. The idea is not to look scared. You need to exude self confidence. No different then hitting on a woman. Don't put on an act or a show. That shows disrespect.

Good advice, but I did all that, and still had problems. One of my friends thinks the same way. He's about 5'9 at 160 pounds. Then again, maybe I come off as a big softie. Here's an example, one time, at my old job, 2 kids came in and threatened to kill me. So I challenged them both to fight outside, where nothing came of it except some pushing. But they had a mini-gang of 4 people. All 200+ pounders. So they'd come back to my restaurant periodically, every week or so, stare me down, and we'd exchange words, they threatened to do shit and nothing would happen etc. After 8 months of that, i quit my job and got another one. That was a bit scary haha.

Where the hell were you working? LOL. I personally think the whole stepping outside to fight someone is the wrong approach and dangerous. For one, you have no idea who is waiting out there in a car to take a shot at you. You NEVER want to put yourself in a place where you are 100% sure of the surroundings. There really is no way to win the old fight challenge thing. If you win, they could always press charges or sue. If they lose, you might get some interesting visitors the next day. There is no good way out of that. You need to let things go.

And why are these "200 pounders" coming to your work to stare you do down? You must have said something. That's the thing with people, you have no idea what will set them off. It's best not to say anything and don't challenge anyone to a fight. What neighborhood was this?

I knew you wouldn't keep your word. Par for the course. And Gabby, going to the gym and being obsessed with the gym are not one and the same. THAT is why I'm not hypocrite. I've been going to the gym on and off for over 10 years. Not to look like Baron. Not to have 6 pack abs. But because I found out years ago that my trading improved remarkably by going. I have no stated goals. I go to release. Not because of vanity. I have a certain build genetically and outside of juicing or dedicating my life to changing it, it's not going to change. I eat healthy for the most part and I do moderate gym work. THAT is why I go...[and on and on]...

Yeah Atty, that traps to the ears look will keep people at a certain distance. LOL. Although Whole Foods is not what I think would be a very threatening environment for you. A lot of metro sexuals there. LOL. I guess regarding the personal power thing, that's why some people keep a gun on them. :)
Note the seamless shapeshifting, as Maverick effortlessly goes from dripping condescension to consummate brown-nosing. What has changed? Nothing other than the person whom he is addressing.

Gabby, the funny thing is, you keep shitting on a thread that I think you have a genuine interest in. You just can't help yourself huh? I'm going to be the adult in this conversation and leave you to your childish antics. I'm sure there are others who have left this thread now because it's become so far off topic. Maybe you should go back down to P&R where you children get a little treat when they say something witty. What do you say little fella? :D

And it Baron's thread at that. No wonder gabby keeps getting banned.

Been awhile since I have been here, see there are lots of threads to peruse....

As far as the original subject of this thread goes, I have been in a program recently that kicks the crap out of anything I have done before. Unfortunately it is only available in Houston and occasionally in NYC.

By far the most difficult thing I have done so far. You WILL lose fat (if you have some to lose), and gain muscle tone. Oh, and get in the best shape of your life.
