what's your dosing schedule for ursolic acid? how long did it take to notice a difference? I've considered trying it but it gets plenty of bad reviews.

I do 3 caps twice daily, once in the morning, and then around 3 PM. I notice the fat burning effects about 45 minutes after I take 3 caps. I physically feel hotter than normal, even while sitting.

Without hesitation, my favorite choice is the Carnivore brand of beef protein from MuscleMeds. Whey protein would always make me feel bloated for some reason after I drank it, and I drank it for years and just put up with that shitty feeling. Then I tried the beef protein I mentioned above, and I felt perfectly fine afterwards. I've never had a whey protein shake since. See, this is the majority of the problem with working out and supplementing.... You have to figure out what works for you and sometimes it takes years to figure it all out.
Regarding the whey protein and the bloated feeling, are you perhaps lactose intolerant? Lactose content can vary by brand. A for the beef protein isolate, it has creatine, which may be part of its appeal.

Well, that would be a wrong assumption. I think all of that stuff is crap because it's harsh on the liver so you can only take compounds like that for a very short period of time. And when you stop taking them, the gains vanish quickly. To me, there's no point in blowing up one month when you are just going to be right back to normal within another month of stopping. That's just a retarded strategy if you ask me.

I prefer to supplement with things that actually have some long term usability and real promise to them. The best thing I've found recently is ursolic acid. It's not liver toxic, and it has recent scientific research behind it, not some junk research paper from 1962 like so many of the prohormones and "designer steroids" out there.

Have you looked at Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia).
Mucuna pruriens also really nice.

Every individual is different. What works for one......

Wow. From 340 to 210 pounds is fantastic. A guy 6'2" at 210 lbs is a fit man, slender even. Congratulations.

You did what you had to do to save your life. Do you have to supplement your diet with vitamins etc due to the bypass? I have a friend who cannot control his weight and he is considering bypass but is worried about what he will have to do afterwards to get proper nutrition.

I was starting to hit 240 lbs on my 6' frame and my doctor was starting to gripe about my blood pressure. I began running and cycling (road bike and also a LeMond Revmaster spinner) and eliminated bread, rice, potatoes and pasta from my diet and have got my weight down to about the same as yours, 210 lbs.

I also vastly reduced my sodium and sugar intake. If you look at labels in the grocery store you might be shocked. Soup, for example, usually contains about 480 milligrams of sodium per serving, even the so-called healthy brands. Its pretty shocking how our processed food has been loaded with salt and sugar. Same with restaraunt food. The best thing is to prepare your own meals at home with fresh ingredients.

I've also done some lifting, mostly with a set of dumbells at home after running/cycling. I look great and I really notice a difference with my relationships with women. Suddenly I'm getting alot of play from girls in the office.

I still have to take meds for blood pressure though. Apparently being fit doesn't really change your BP which surprises me. Still, I feel great and sleep like a baby. I would like to get my weight down to about 200 lbs but the last 10 pounds is quite difficult to lose.

Anyway, great job getting down to 210 man.
try to lower blood pressure and or cholesterol naturally, they don't tell you but the blood meds take some of the things out of your blood that your body uses to put calcium in your bones, the result when you get older will be severe thinning, weakening of the bones, osteoporousis, not sure of i spelled that right http://www.wellnessresources.com/fr..._while_common_medications_poison_the_elderly/

Some interesting advice here, I'm working at getting into good shape again and am considering whether I want to try some supplements. Getting into late 30's now so thinking I may need an extra boost.

I'll say that for working out, my experience is that the quality of the workouts is everything. When I first hit the gym I didn't see any real results in my physique, got stronger but even after 3-4 years I didn't really look any different. But I didn't know what I was doing and hadn't read anything about weight lifting. Things took a turn when I started being a lot more diligent about it, reading some body building books, working out to failure, and mixing up the exercises I did for each body part. For example there are multiple exercises you can do for triceps (can't say I know the proper name for each) and I'd do a different one on each day that I did triceps. Just cycle through them. Same for bench press: use the bar, then next time use dumbells, then next time do flies, once in a while do pushups, etc is what I'd do.

The past few years I didn't stop working out, but the intensity of the workouts decreased and I started skipping workouts more often. The result was loss of almost all physical results. So yeah it's possible to be a regular gym-goer but not really look much different.

As for people asking if women notice a good phsyique, my experience has been that they most definitely do! :)

Weight Watchers

I've lost 8 lbs in two weeks and that's even after partying at a wedding reception Friday night.

I drink about a gallon and a half of water per day.

It sound a bit excessive, specially if you drink other types of liquid (beer, soup, tea, soda) too.

Anyway, nobody addressed the body type problem here, since different types need different approaches to weight loss.

Mine is ectomorph, in plain, I can eat as much as I want, I can get ride of it in a few days if I need to or care. Here is more info:

If your type is endomorph, you are going to need to put lots of effort into losing weight and aging won't help either with the slowing down metabolism...

Really? I ask because the Christmas card photo you showed of yourself sitting on a rusted out car playing the ukelele sure looked like an endomorph to me.
