Methods for gaining muscle and losing fat

I've used a non-stimulant fat burner called Lean Extreme that was loaded with cayenne but shortly after I took it, it actually made the skin on my arms and legs feel like they were dry and burning a little bit. I didn't like that feeling at all.

Lean Extreme has/had capsicum in it? I thought it was a blend of eGCG and 7-OH.

i tried the protein shakes(GNC) back in 03 when another carpenter suggested it for energy, they gave you a lot of energy but it really backed me up,i added an orange into the glass ,used the hand blender and water and added the protein

One of the reasons why I love the quest protein bars is that they have 18 grams of fiber to keep the system moving :D

A mistake I see a lot of people making is trying to make a protein drink into a dessert by adding peanut butter, bananas, milk, and whatever else they can find in an effort to make it taste good. But before they know it, they've got an 1100 calorie meal, which is a nightmare to digest. They would have been better off just eating a normal shitty breakfast in the morning.

I literally mix one scoop of protein powder with and equal amount of water in a shaker bottle to make a "protein shot" that can be drank in two gulps within a few seconds. But like I said, a lot of people try to make something simple like a protein shake even more difficult than it should be by turning it into a major production, which is completely unnecessary.

That's correct, but it also has cayenne and forskolin, amongst other things, according to the label on the bottle. I opened up one of the caps and put some of it on my tongue and it burned like a jalapeno.

I don't think it does.

I'm thinking of Lean Xtreme (stupid missing E).

So I just turned 40 and I recently bulked up and then dieted back down to see what I was left with. I ended up with about 7 or 8 pounds more muscle this time over a period of about 6 months. I still feel like I could have done a little better, but I will try again for sure. :)

Thanks. I have to balance out the nerdiness with some physical activity. Otherwise, I go freakin' insane.

I bought some Woodford Reserve today. It's very nice and smooth but to me the Eagle Rare has more character and depth to it.

I'm smoking some beef brisket and a couple boston butts tomorrow, and I'll be using some of that Woodford for an apple-bourbon bbq sauce I'm whipping up. :)

I see the smoked BBQ and apple-bourbon bbq sauce had no effect this weekend

Congrats, great results.

Sorry if that comes across as rude, its just shocking.... its just the stereotype that your mind gets automatically, the first picture one gets in their head of an internet entrepreuner is not you..... :D

So now that you got to where you wanna be got any tips for the rest of us pikers? What did it take to get to your level in terms of gym and diet?
