Why IB Staff does not explain the irrationalities of the commission structure? I don't see why it has to be configured in such a weird way.

The unbundled are basde upon currency. Programming work needs to be done to change that to product based. I understand it's on the queue but some other higher priority projects are ahead of it. If it's important to you the please vote for it in the client survey.
What do you mean by "based on currency"? Please explain that bit.
I think this problem can be easily solved if you add the minimum() function when calculating the unbundled price.
For example,
mimimum(unbundled price of 1st tier, bundled price * 95%)
mimimum(unbundled price of 2nd tier, bundled price * 85%)
mimimum(unbundled price of 3rd tier, bundled price * 75%)
and so on
If the unbundled price is higher than the bundled price *95% for example, it will use the bundled price * 95% instead.
It shouldn't need to take more than 1 year to address and solve these irrationalities.
