I have a brother who is looking to move from accounting with a big 4 firm into IB with Merrill lynch. is this a wise move. how can he prepare for the interview. what types of questions will they ask him. is this a good move or stick with the big 4 then go CFO somewhere after 10 years?

The questions will really depend on what area(s) of Merrill Lynch.

Jumping to a CFO position is most likely after someone is a Big 4 partner for some time.
