One Christmas Eve, at the company's after close Christmas party, the owner called me in to his office and said, "Do you realize 90% of the commissions you generated this year were from your own account? That was the happiest day of my life. I walked out of there knowing I was finally an Independent Trader.

But I never told my wife I got fired.

I still put on my suit and tie everyday and went to the office.

And when anybody asked, I just told them I was a stockbroker.
