Men, Women, Divorce, and Trading in 2012

at anyrate, everybody (except one) on this board knows if you get on ET and express concerns about gold digging and are determined to win a custody battle that this deal is not going to work out. It's hard enough when everything is perfect. And it aint her, you just simply aren't ready. And unless you change your ways, never will be.

I couldn't think of anything worse than sharing a house with someone I couldn't get along with. Just the mere thought of that has kept me single all these years. Better to be alone than wishing you were.
There's a woman within earshot of my house who carries on like a fishwife, nag nag nag nag, sends shivers down my spine.
Okay, so you all open my eyes about the reality of marriage. Divorce laws favors women and disadvantage men. Women are ten times more narcissistic then men. The odds are stack again men. We have everything to lose while they have everything to gain. etc etc.
But, all I really want is to NOT be lonely for the rest of my life and HAPPY. Is that too much to ask?

My thoughts on the matter... many women once they get married and have kids concentrate all their energy on the kids, guy gets left out.
Then there is the issue women are quite powerful in the home, they demand obedience to their ways and they think they are boss / have ownership over the guy.
If you live with the woman rather than married, she knows you can walk any day and vice versa.
When either party don't take the other for granted, that's when there is a good chance it will work imo

As others have mentioned... Say u make it long enough to have kids... She will completely put them first and constantly worry ...can u handle that? I am still shocked (kids 12 and 14) how much time , energy she gives the kids.
If a woman spends a great deal of her married life raising her children, that's fine, but if the guy gets given the role of being the work horse/slave/ATM machine and is relegated to the background, well the man needs to be able to take the back seat and remain content in that role.
Personally, I need a woman who when she's in bed is mine, not burnt out and constantly using the excuse she has a headache and the old worn out line "not now darling, you had it last month - remember?"
I get married to get a partner, not a role as a dogs body.
