Memory leak in TWS - serious?

Hi

Is memory leak in TWS a serious problem? For instance, for users with a third-party charting program with, say, 8 to 10 charts, is there a real-world performance slowdown in consequence? Would adding RAM, say, from 4GB to 8GB mitigate the problem?

Your feedback, please!

Quote from Canoe007:

Due to the large number of charts I use (multi-contract, multi-timeframe, market indicators on six monitors), the memory leak in TWS was killing the platform after a few hours.

I ran 2 or 3 instances of TWS with other softs and never ran into any real issue. Usually the other charting packages are more demanding than TWS. But IMO it is a good practice to have more than one PC when you are asking yourself the question. 500$ PC or 700$ laptops should not be an issue if what you are doing is so serious that performance is an issue.
I dont know where you got that idea but I never heard of a memory leak in TWS.
